Silent Hill: Book of Memories Releasing November 2nd?

According to an article on Gamepur, apparently Silent Hill: Book of Memories is going to release on 11/2/12, this contradicts what Amazon has listed (as well as the game’s Wikipedia page), saying it will release on 10/16/12. Maybe the November date is for Europe? We shall see in a few weeks. And don’t forget, you can pre-order the PlayStation Vita game in the GameSaga Mega Store.

Another Resident Evil 6 Review

Here’s another review for Capcom’s Resident Evil 6, this time courtesy of Destructoid:

resident evil 6 logo Another Resident Evil 6 Review

“When you first start playing Resident Evil 6, it looks like it might almost be a joke, perhaps a stealthy parody of big-budget action videogames. It begins in the aftermath of an explosion, seen from a first-person perspective, and the entire introductory sequence is littered with quick-time events. There is a helicopter.

At first, things look bleak. Is this what Capcom’s legendary survival horror series has become? A bubbling mass of cliches, a tribute to everything vapid and faintly ridiculous about so-called “AAA” game development? Nothing but shallow Hollywood action sequences and glorified, barely interactive cutscenes? Is this Resident Evil now?

That’s merely what it looks like when you first start playing.

The full experience is something slightly less appealing than that.”

Left 4 Dead 3 Possible For The Future?

In an interview with Eurogamer, Valve’s Chet Faliszek discussed Steam, Counter-Strike, and the Left 4 Dead franchise. Mr. Faliszek was asked about the prospects of a 3rd game in the series and had this to say:

“A 3? You know, some time down the road. Like anything, I would say that to all of our games. So that’s not a promise of when or where. I really love working on that series. It’s one of my favourite series. It’s just so much fun with the characters and the world. I love zombies and I love horror. So, yeah.”

Resident Evil 6 Review

Joystiq has a review up for the latest entry in Capcom’s survival horror franchise, Resident Evil 6. Here’s a portion of their review:

resident evil 6 logo Resident Evil 6 Review

“It’s no longer clear what makes Resident Evil tick, so Capcom is dissecting it. Resident Evil 6 is a steel tray of plump, disconnected organs, each representing a crucial element of the monstrous franchise. There’s educational worth in this exercise, but the gross sight of it in progress can be hard to stomach.

The three primary campaigns in Resident Evil 6 are the excised parts, and only by sampling them all will you begin to see the full picture. Stoic series stalwart Leon S. Kennedy (the “S” stands for “Salon,” by the way) leads with Helena Harper, who clues him in on a new contagion giving rise to the dead worldwide. The two really are the worst match if you’re looking for rapid plot development – she’s basically a viral marketer, and he’s bizarrely skeptical for a guy who is statistically likely to be in the room whenever someone sprouts tentacles and extra teeth.”
