“GungHo Online Entertainment to Publish Ragnarok Odyssey Ace in Europe

GungHo Online Entertainment, a multiplatform publisher for the online gaming community, today announced it will be publishing the upcoming action RPG title, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, in Europe this coming winter for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems. The ultimate version of the company’s previously released title Ragnarok Odyssey, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace offers a host of new content and innovative cross-platform play, which allows both PS3 users and Vita users to play the game together via online connection.

Set within the world of Norse Mythology during the fabled Twilight of the Gods, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace builds upon the original game’s highly addictive action RPG combat and cooperative gameplay, adding in an all-new Ace skill system which gives characters extra abilities and allowing them to better customize their gameplay experience. One key item in the game’s customization process are the all-new Halomonas Weapons, which allow players to upgrade weapon parameters, skills and even aesthetics after successfully completing certain quests within the game. Ragnarok Odyssey Ace also offers new gameplay content, with new enemies and an all-new epilogue featuring the Yggdrasil Tower, a new area that creates random dungeons of endless variation for players to battle through with their friends online or solo with the help of AI controlled Mercenary Helpers.

Players begin Ragnarok Odyssey Ace by creating an entirely personalized character from a wide range of visual options. After applying physical features, players will then select their character’s play style from a stable of six diverse job classes, including the Sword Warrior, Mage, Assassin, Hunter, Cleric and powerful Hammersmith. Upon entering the game’s open-world environment, players will be tasked with exploring a realm filled with heavy action, in which giants and humans remain in constant conflict with each other. The game sets a mood of epic adventure thanks to a striking musical score from returning Ragnarok Odyssey composer Kumi Tanioka with a guest track written by internationally-renowned RPG veteran Nobuo Uematsu.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will be published in Europe by GungHo Online Entertainment America this winter. XSEED Games will publish the title in North America.”

Xbox One Specs

In case you missed it earlier this week, here are the Xbox One specs:

xbox one specs Xbox One Specs

Interesting they went with an 8-core CPU and skimped on RAM and the HDD. As we expected they have several USB ports and HDMI is standard. They’re also including a hard drive though it’s unknown it it’s going to be proprietary or a standard drive thus far. I’m guessing it’s proprietary since Microsoft has announced that it’s not user replaceable. But that could just be corporate-speak for you can switch it out but you void your warranty if you do and/or have to pay us a fortune to do it for you. But you can use external HDDs so it’s not all bad as far as that goes. I was surprised they went with Blu-ray considering they probably will have to pay licensing fees to Sony. I’m guessing the HDMI-In will be used for the TV features Microsoft announced.

Morning LOL – Call of Nintendogs

Wow…where to begin? It’s obvious a 3DS box art template, but yet it has an Xbox One logo on the side while keeping the Touch Generations logo on the bottom. Then it has blatant Doritos & Mountain Dew advertising on it. And of course the completely random & unrelated placement of the part that says Dante from Devil May Cry is in this “game.” This is just completely ridiculous. Which is what makes it awesome.
