Nintendo Shares Continue To Rise

The Nikkei index in Japan is on the rise and part of that is thanks to Nintendo as they are up ¥440 from the previous day. The Nikkei itself is up 1.2% as well. This is obviously good news for Nintendo as that means more money coming into the company and thus more capital to use on new projects like developing new Wii U titles for example.

So Many Me (PC, OSX, & LIN) – Spicy Horse Joins Development Team

Extend Studio, creators of the award-winning ‘A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda’, have announced today indie studio support for their first Kickstarter campaign to help complete and release all-ages puzzle-platformer ‘So Many Me’ onto a variety of gaming platforms.

Taking inspiration from both old and modern classics of the puzzle-platforming genre, ‘So Many Me’ casts players as the lovable green blob, Filo, as he and his seemingly endless army of clones explore a massive world and try to stop the most evil villain their world has ever seen. Only by solving tricky puzzles, navigating treacherous pitfalls, and defeating powerful bosses will the player manage to succeed in their quest!

Extend Studio is pleased to announce that we’ve teamed-up with Spicy Horse, developer of Akaneiro: Demon Hunters and American McGee’s Grimm!

Check out this Kickstarter exclusive!

“Spicy Horse” Costume Pack! Any pledge of $10 or higher (any amount that gets the game) will automatically earn you this Backer Exclusive in So Many Me! American McGee has lost two of his beloved items on the world of Xio. Filo and his many ME are only ones who can recover them. Return each of them back to the mysterious Horizon Ruin and you will get the “Spicy Horse” Costume Pack as your reward. Filo will receive the American McGee’s Grimm costume, a unique look, from Spicy Horse’s episodic adventure: American McGee’s Grimm. Filo will also gain the Akaneiro: Demon Hunters costume, a brand new look, from American McGee’s successfully funded title: Akaneiro: Demon Hunters!

“There’s a huge amount of creativity and fun on display here. “So Many Me” is exactly the sort of indie content we should be supporting if we would like to see an end to so many “me too” games” – American McGee, CEO of Spicy Horse.

If Extend Studio reaches their stretch goal for the Costume Editor, then they will also be able to provide tools for players to use the Costume Editor to share designs in the Marketplace.

“Spicy Horse” Costume Pack includes:

  • American McGee’s Grimm costume– based on the character by Spicy Horse Games
  • Akaneiro: Demon Hunters costume– based on the character by Spicy Horse Games

The Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise another $19,000 to help polish up the currently-in-beta title and release it on a core set of platforms (PC/Mac/Linux). Stretch goals include additional releases on Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, and the WiiU. Other stretch goals include a level editor and back-end to allow sharing user-generated content, along with brand new game levels and puzzles.

Backers will be able to redeem reward copies for PC/Mac/Linux versions of the game directly from Steam the moment the game becomes available.

By pledging their support, players can pre-purchase reduced-price digital copies, download keys for the soundtrack by award-winning composers Hyperduck Studios (Dust: An Elysian Tail, Scrolls), nab figurines and plush toys, not to mention top-tier “Co-Designer” pledge rewards that allow backers to help design levels, puzzles, characters, and more!

Sometimes the best ideas are created by accident. I wonder what else was put in the game by accident and later was decided to keep?
