Nintendo Enthusiast is reporting a rumor from an unnamed source that Minecraft will finally be making it’s way to the Wii U sometime in the Summer of 2014. The source states that Mojang has Wii U dev kits and work is underway. The Wii U version is said to be being developed along with the Xbox One & PlayStation 4 versions but according to the source, the focus is on the Wii U version. We’ll see if anything comes of this. It wouldn’t be too shocking. Minecraft is pretty much on every platform out there now. I’m sure if it’s confirmed it’ll happen via a Nintendo Direct or something similar.

Get Even – First Images & Details

The graphics of Get Even are achieved by using 3D scans of real locations and people. To develop this innovative technology, our studio works with research institutes and independent specialists. This will mark the first time where this technology is used on such a scale in video games. The technology present in Get Even by The Farm 51 has been first presented to the audiences during the Paris Game Connection where it has been well-received.

Get Even also strives to offer a fresh approach to game mechanics. The developers plan to remove the arbitrary barrier between single and multiplayer modes by linking them together in a unique way. In the single player campaign, other players will be able to join the game at any moment to take on the roles of enemies previously controlled by the AI. Thanks to this, the singleplayer campaign, often schematic and predictable in other games, enters a new dimension where the player has to face the most dangorous of all foes: another player who has his own reasons and tools to stop you from reaching your goal.

The approach to story telling in Get Even also strives for innovation. The player is given the chance to experience the events that transpire in the singleplayer campaign from the perspective of two opposing protagonists. What is more, gameplay will differ based upon the choice of a side and the story of the game will be told through elements of gameplay, exploration, and interacting with the environment rather than the standard usage of cutscenes and dialogues.

Deals & Sales – Gaijin Games Five Year Anniversary Sale Announced

gaijin games logo Deals & Sales Gaijin Games Five Year Anniversary Sale Announced

Mars-December 21, 2013-Gaijin Games, makers of fine wares such as Runner2 and the BIT.TRIP series, come to you today with a very special announcement. After selling well over a million games, winning all sorts of awards, and appearing in the Guinness Book of World Records (the legit one-not just the Gamer’s Edition!), Gaijin Games is celebrating their five-year anniversary!* In video game industry terms, that’s approximately eight billion years!

When debating how best to celebrate the occasion, we decided that offering all of our games for ridiculously cheap was the best route (we also made a cake that’s probably a little too NSFW to include in this email). From now until the end of the Steam holiday sale, you can purchase:

  • BEAT, CORE, VOID, RUNNER, and FATE for $0.99 each
  • The soundtracks of the aforementioned games for $1.01 each. Yay for weird prices!
  • Runner2 for $2.50
  • The soundtrack of the aforementioned game for $1.99
  • A bundle with all of our games and soundtracks (excluding FLUX, which hasn’t been released on PC just yet) for $10.14. Hey, another weird price!
  • All sorts of other little bundles and things for super low prices!

If that doesn’t satiate your appetite for cheap things, you’ll also be pleased to hear that BIT.TRIP RUN! is currently only $1.99! That’s a whole 50% off!

And one last thing before I set you free. Just in time to be late for the holiday season, we put some super rad CommanderVideo maquettes up for sale on Amazon! Here’s a link to one of them! Here’s a link to the other one of them!

Since we’re in the giving mood, here’s a GIF of co-founder Alex Neuse being shot directly in the glasses with a Nerf dart.

Thanks so much for an amazing five years, and here’s to another five-thousand more!
