Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed (PS3 & PSV) – Artwork, European Release Date, & Details

NIS America has announced that they will be releasing Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed in Europe on October 10th, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed stars a man named Nanashi of valuable treasures and has been turned into a member of the walking undead. Fortunately for Nanashi, a Synthister hunter known by the name of Shizuku helped save him from the worst effects of this curse. They will be joined by others to form a group known as the Akiba Freedom Fighters. They are tasked with discovering the cause of the Synthister plague and must work to save Akihabara from vampires.

Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed is classified as an action RPG and will feature open world gameplay. Players must rid Akihabara of vampires and do so by identifying them by utilizing an in-game smartphone app. Once in combat, you’ll be able to remove their clothing exposing them to sunlight and thus kill them. There will be different regular items to use you’d find in various aspects of life along with a variety of paths to proceed through in the story. The game will feature many different characters who are inspired by various anime and video games.

The in-game representation of Tokyo’s Akihabara district has been put into the game with over 130 real stores featured. Weapons can be just about any object. Whether’s it a baseball bat, a comic book, or even motherboards. Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed will feature multiple endings depending how the path the player takes through the game’s story. The smartphone app that is part of the in-game features will not only be used to identify vampires, but can also be used for checking e-mail, browsing something called “Pitter” (which is most likely the game version of Twitter), embarking on sidequests, and more.
