Nintendo has announced a new StreetPass feature for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, the 3DS remakes of Ruby & Sapphire from the Game Boy Advance. They’re called Super-Secret Bases. This will essentially function kind of like player housing would in a MMO. You’ll be able to add various decorations to your base and other players can come by and challenge you to a duel. You get to set the rules for Pokémon battles that take place at your base though.
When you go to someone else’s base, those who belong to the base can be found there. You’ll be able to battle them & talk with them as well. If you come across someone you want to be friends with, you can make them a Secret Pal and they can come back with you to your base. You’ll be able to still battle with your pal and also gain access to special abilities that your pal can use to aid you in your journey.
A sort Capture the Flag type of game is being added with this also. You’ll be able to find one flag per base per day. The more flags you capture, the higher your team’s rank will be and this will give you access to various rewards like increasing the effectiveness of your pals’ skills. Your ranking will also determine the appearance of your flag.
Players will be able to share their Super-Secret Bases via QR code. To learn more about this feature, you can speak with Secret Base Expert Aarune.

Ken Levine (formerly of Irrational Games) recently revealed on his Twitter account that a PlayStation Vita version of BioShock was once planned. According to Mr. Levine, it would’ve been a Tactics game, similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. The above concept art shows what the game might’ve looked like. The posts where he talks about this on Twitter are in the image below.
Comcept has announced another round of crowdfunding for Mighty No. 9 that will go towards adding bonus content into the game. The first stretch goal listed is to raise $100,000 to add full English voices to the game. Other stretch goals will be revealed at a later date. Keiji Inafune has stressed that any additional money raised will not go towards development of the main but to add in only bonus content. The second round of crowdfunding is going through the official site for the game and is being processed through Paypal. If you contribute, you can pre-order the game or if you pay a bit more, you can pre-order the game and get extras like a digital soundtrack, manual, art book, and strategy guide. This latter tier contributes towards the stretch goal. Pre-orders only (with no extras) do not contribute to the stretch goal.
They’ve also announced a new animated series that will hopefully be coming to TVs in the near future. Digital Frontier is helping with this project and they released the teaser video seen below.
