2K Games has announced a sequel to 2008′s Civilization Revolution, which will be appropriately titled Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution 2. Unlike the previous game however, the sequel will (thus far) only be coming to Android & iOS devices, so those of you who played the original on your console or portable will either be out of luck or will have to settle for playing it on a mobile device.
It’s scheduled to be released on July 2nd for iOS devices as a “premium title” and has been developed for mobile platforms only according to 2K. They went on to say that have designed the controls and user interface to be user-friendly for touchscreen devices. The original 16 leaders from the first game will be included in Civilization Revolution 2 as well as new ones like Winston Churchill & John F. Kennedy.
Welcome back to the Weekly Smash Up where we take a look back at the Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS & Wii U screenshots Masahiro Sakurai has posted on Miiverse for the past week. For the week of June 16th, we start off with a look at the Mii Swordfighter, who was announced as being playable (one of three Mii Fighter forms) at E3 last week. The Mii Swordfighter has at least three different weapons, Shurikens of Lights, Chakrams, & Gale Strikes. The player has some degree of control over the Chakram as well.
The next screen shows us Eggrobo who a machine used by Dr. Eggman in the Sonic series. He’ll be making an appearance as an enemy in the Smash Run mode on the 3DS version and attacks with laser beams.
Wednesday brought us the reveal of another new mini-game for the 3DS version, Trophy Rush. Sakurai-san called it “quite a bit different from Coin Launcher” and said that they’re not going to share details about it just yet.
Our next screen shows Pac-Man using a special move called Bonus Fruit. While charging the attack, your bonus will change and each have unique traits and movements as you throw them. They will loop through in the same order as in the original Pac-Man.
Our final screenshot this week shows us Donkey Kong performing a special attack called Storm Punch. This looks like it might be somewhat similar to his old wind up punch attack in previous Smash games, but now it appears that it might generate a gust of wind.
